Who We Are

 Lions District 2-S3 Charities, INC is the District's charitable organizations. It is a designated 501(c-3)  under (IRS Rules) . The organization was initially established to operate a Mobile Health Screening Unit (MHSU) that measured blood pressure, blood sugar, vision and hearing.  As Early Childhood Vision Screenings became an emphasis of the organization, the MHSU was replaced by vision screening devices known as Spots.  Most recently, the organization has expanded to include Alerts regarding the need for disaster relief in a community or group of communities in our District. It has evolved as the charitable arm for charitable contributions from our 52 lions clubs.
